「同时」

同一时间做两件事。英文有三条路。

我们同时到了。     We arrived at the same time.
一边吃一边看。     Eating while watching.
同时，他……         Meanwhile, he ……

at the same time vs at once

at the same time    同一时间做（可以是两人）
at once             同时做（一个人同时处理多件）

We spoke at the same time.       我俩同时开口。
He does three things at once.    他一次同时做三件。

meanwhile —— 切镜头

讲故事时，切到"另一边"：

John was cooking. Meanwhile, Mary was shopping.

中文的"这时 / 与此同时" —— meanwhile 一个词搞定。
